Travel Day to San Francisco
Today’s drive to San Francisco was a bumpy one. Our furnace has not been working ever since our drive to Yosemite, no matter how many times Ron jiggles the wires. I am certain this part of our drive did not do any favours for our furnace or our outside fridge. It looks like we will be using our plug in heater for the rest of the trip, but as long as I don’t try to make coffee while the heater is running we’ll be fine.
Ron was anxious to get on the road so we could learn who our new president was. I was looking forward to getting the kids online for school. I knew once we got out of the mountains our service would improve and the kids could get caught up. We finally got service and I jumped on my phone. To my surprise the election had not been decided yet, but at least Ron and I could watch the election results. Ariel worked very hard and got all caught up on her assignments. She was even able to attend her first PE class. Wyatt did not have live zoom lessons today, which made life a bit easier in the backseat of the car and at the campsite.
Our campsite at Petaluma KOA was very nice. We had a nice concrete patio, so Ron and I enjoyed relaxing at our site for the afternoon. Ariel and Wyatt ran around and enjoyed the playground. Ron barbequed steak for dinner and grilled up some mushrooms. We enjoyed a cozy family dinner, followed by family snuggles while we watched Back to the Future. This RV is really starting to feel like home now (even the finicky furnace reminds us of home). We even hung up our new lights and put out our little flamingos. Yep we are settling into RV life.
Goodnight from California!
